About Us

Welcome to 12th Leamington (Holy Trinity) Scout Group. Home to Cubs, Scouts and Explorers in the northern area of Royal Leamington Spa.

We are an active and community based Scout Group situated in the northern part of Royal Leamington Spa. We are part of the Leamington District, which in turn is part of the Warwickshire Scout County.

We welcome all young people from age 8 up to the age of 18 working in partnership with Beauchamp Explorer Scout Unit.

12th Leamington (Holy Trinity) Scout Group has been in existence for 80 years providing fun, challenge and adventure to generations of Scouts.

Young person membership for 2020 continues to be healthy with sections still increasing in size.

The Cub Pack has continued to be strong in numbers with over 20 Cubs enrolled taking part in a wide range of activities. These includes, but not limited to, completing their Skills challenge, Global issues and First Aid badge. They also have a lot to activities and events coming up such as Clip and Climb and Cubs Together 2020.

The Scout Troop has had huge success over the past year. They are still looking for new young people to join them in their exciting and active programme. Similar to the Cub pack, they have also been completing badges such as; Skills Challenge, Scientist and crafts badge to name a few. Along with badge work, they enjoy taking part in activities within the community such as Remembrance parade and running the water station at the Regency Run and Leamington half marathon. The Scouts also have a lot to look forward to with activities including Clip and Climb, a weekend survival camp and a week’s activity camp in Oxford.

The Explorer Unit have been focusing on earning their Duke of Edinburgh award at both Bronze and Silver level. As part of this award they have to take part in an expedition, working in a team and navigating from one point to another. They have also taken part in a range of international evening which go towards their international activity badge.

In 2019, all Sections enjoyed attending Group Camp at Blackwell Court during May half term. Activities include; Kayaking, Nightline, 3G Swing, Tree Climbing, Crate Stacking and many more.

We are always looking to offer scouting to more young people. In order to do this, we require more adult volunteers. If you are able to help in any way, even if it’s for an hour a month, we would be love to hear from you.
